Poetry Sunday-Creating My World

Creating My World

I touch the heaven inside of me

Flowing, boundless, creating my reality.

Always changing, twisting, transforming

Beliefs morphing, still being born, forming.

All before me limitless

Unending joy, pure bliss.

Listening, tapping into the whispers that surround

Nature’s miracles through my eyes abound.

A spirit transcending time and space

Manacles broken, no longer in a race.

Moment to moment the scene will change

As I try to capture it just out of range.

A word, a melody, the light

With pen and paint our senses delight.

So harness the wind, oh I think you can

Creating your world with a wave of your hand.

This poem was also created during that inspiring flight to see family in November.  I was in a very artistic mood, creating my world.

I am joining in with Poets United for their weekly poetry link up for poets who blog.  Visit them to read some more wonderful verse.

Special Note:  The lotus flower, pictured in this post, is a symbol of spontaneous generation, and also represents creation itself.

I leave you with a little reminder of the creating.   I welcome you to download the photo and share it.

  1. the opening thought is pretty cool….the heaven inside me…
what a relationship we have with creation….we hopefully join in it
as opposed to working against it….

    1. That opening line was what came to me and the rest just flowed from there….it does feel like heaven when we connect with our ‘inside heaven’. Frustrating when we do work against it.

  2. I like the idea of touching the heaven inside….rather than reaching out, reaching inward. So true that ‘moment to moment the scene will change….’ And hopefully we are there with a pen to write it down. Smiles.

  3. What a talented and generous person you are Donna. Your poetry is lovely — I really believe in the concept of creating one’s world. We can make it what we want — if only we can remember to do so. The heart mosaic is so creative and so beautiful .

    1. Sallie isn’t it amazing when we realize we can create our world how much is suddenly open to us…..freeing, liberating and soulful! So happy you really liked the poem and pictures.

  4. If only we could harness the wind…lovely poem and pretty pink waterlilies.

Creating your world with a wave of your hand.”

  8. This is lovely, Donna! We are the one who set the limit to the world we create. And when we create it must be clear that we also take full responsibility for all the actions we makes & used to create this world. Smiles.

  9. Donna this is so beautiful. The entire post is a prayer. We do have a heaven within. We need to unleash it, allow it to thrive. I love how you write this. Your photo is lovely. And thank you for your generous gift for downloading.
