A-May-Zing Times in the Garden
It’s May, it’s May the bluebird sang,
And robin echoed hooray with his glad refrain!
The frog croaked with delight as he sprang from the pond,
To welcome his friends to their new surrounds.
And buzzing bees joined hummingbirds on the wing,
This time in the garden is just A-May-Zing!

The May garden and bluebirds….nothing better….thanks JP!
Spring is always a great time for rejoicing for everyone
Right now 4 different types of frogs and toads are rejoicing in the pond all night… They are disturbing the peace with their party, but I like their style! 🙂
Love tha A-may-zing.. You really made this sing. Alas we have rain today… 😉
Bjorn I hope your weather is better and quite A-May-Zing!
Ah, you have definitely gotten me in the spring mood with your photos and poetry. I love the bluebird. Haven’t seen one of them in a long time around here, but robins are abundant. As for bees, sigh, they become fewer and fewer…. A good day to you, Donna!
Thanks Mary…it is sad the birds and bees are fewer and fewer!

Ah, the welcoming sounds of almost-summer 🙂 The sight of bluebirds and cardinals still thrill me–I just moved to the East Coast from the Midwest a year ago. They have such brilliant colors! Have a good evening

Great poem, now if only the weather was May-ish.
It was May-ish for awhile and then summer-ish and now fall-ish…ah spring…so unpredictable!
Donna, your May poem is so cute. I love to hear the sounds of the frogs and birds in spring. Your bluebirds are beautiful.
Have a happy day and week ahead!
The frogs have been non-stop…we have 5 types now in the chorus….what fun!
Donna, Those bluebirds are wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Sylvia D.
My pleasure Sylvia!
I have a bird feeder in the back garden, yesterday I spotted a bird I had not seen before, he was a beautiful grey. He dropped to the wall, and just a suddenly, a large yellow cat replaced him….it all happened so quickly, one moment I was looking at the bird, and the next a large yellow cat. I think the grey bird also saw the cat, he got away! Thank you for the poem of May.
Oh I hope he got away….
I love, love, love your poem for today. It made me so happy. Thanks for the photo with the bluebird with the quote, I save them all.
Oh Debbie you are too kind…thank you and I am so grateful for your support!

Oh my goodness! The first & last photos made me so so so happy! Bluebirds are one of my favorite birds, so I am delighted to see (+ hear) them here.
Wonderful to hear you have these beloved birds visiting you too!
May is so wondrous in so many parts of the world. It has been delightful here in The Sonora Desert, as we have enjoyed cooler than average May temps. so this year, from me, you;ll get a resounding “Yay for May!”
So glad your spring has been wonderful Kim!
Very much to the point of what May shares with us. Delightful Donna and great photos of the bluebird.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

Wonderful!! Wonderful, indeed…celebrating May, just like this! Great poem, Donna!
“Hooray,…
Hooray for May,
If I may to say…
Hooray… for the blue birds,
For the blue skies
And for the all blossoms,
That in the garden’s soul
you will can find…”
(ps. sorry if I have some grammar errors in my lyrics…still learning to express in english as much well, as I can..)
Warm greetings to you and a very sunny week for soul in may!

I think it has a lot to do with whether the bird is male or female and the time of year….in spring the blue of the males becomes more luminescent and lighter.
Wooow, What a gentlel bird you have shown us! Tank you so much for sharing. The beauty of the figure and the color is surely a gift from God.
I couldn’t agree more…it is a gorgeous bird!
Absolutely delightful, Donna. 🙂
