“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.” ~Alan Cohen
It has been a delightful winter, not too much snow or cold….just enough to enjoy! And in winter, I like to do a lot of writing, and some other projects. All of which can make me a bit tired. So I have decided to take a rest, and will be away from my blog for the next couple of weeks.
I will return on March 10th with a Wildlife Lessons post. And my poetry posts will be back on March 13th.

While I’m away, I leave you with another thought about rest and taking a break. Feel free to download the photo and share.

Enjoy your break.
I hope it is restorative, productive and pleasant.
It is Soosie and it will continue to be wonderfully restorative!
Wonderful photos.
Enjoy your break… and seeing Spring arrive!
Hoping spring will arrive soon…maybe in about 10 days they are saying our weather will finally warm!
I think we all need a break after winter and before it gets hectic when spring arrives properly. Hope your break is restorative and you come back feeling revitalised.
It is working its magic already…thanks!
having just returned from a break I know the benefits and hope you feel restored too – these cusp times can be very draining!
They can be Laura…and this break is working its magic!
Enjoy your break, Donna. I’ve been very busy too with no time for blogging. Hope to return to regular posting in the Spring. Love the crocus 🙂
Thanks Loredana!
A very wise choice Donna, enjoy your break, and come back refreshed, we look forward to your return.
Jen
Thanks so much Jen!
May you be rested and rejuvenated by your break, Donna. Almost spring now!
Thanks Beth….they are saying we may get a break from our winter weather in about 10 days!
Is your break for relaxing or are you so busy you can’t fit everything in? I’m on two very time consuming boards and I’ve just told them I will be unavailable in April. The month is one of the busiest in my garden and this year I decided to enjoy it instead of trying to do it on the fly and becoming frustrated and irritable. Best wishes, Sue
No it is relaxing and resting Susan……I have learned to take it easy and not try to fit it all in…taking breaks helps but this is purely a rest that is needed. Good for you to say no and do things that make sense for you!
Enjoy your break, my darling Donna !
Sure to miss you, I’m looking forward to you coming back !
Sending blessings
with true love
Dany
Thanks Dany!
Have a great break – you are so good letting us all know what you are doing, I tend to disappear in an unorganised ‘I guess no wifi means I’m taking a break’ sort of a way…. We’re just back from a holiday in Myanmar, a change but definitely not a rest…. but wonderful all the same. See you in March, Spring Yay! What am I on…. that means our winter is coming, no yay!!!
Take care
Wren x
I will catch up with you soon!
have a lovely break donna – and I hope you get a chance to watch some lovely flowers bloom too 🙂 your photo and quote are reminding me that I need a good rest… love Bec xx
Take that rest for yourself Bec…best thing you can do!
How lovely to see new spring flowers come out.
Have a lovely new week and enjoy your break,Donna.
Thanks I will…we are still in winter for at least another 2 weeks so no flowers yet!
Enjoy your break and take plenty of time to relax and recharge your batteries 🙂
I absolutely will do that Cherie!
Am I right that this is your first break EVER from blogging? I hope the rest “fills the well” and is just plain fun, Donna.
You are correct Stacy, my first ever….I am dabbling a bit with blogging from time to time this week.
Thanks for all the happy crocus:)
Beautiful little beginnings.
And thanks for this restful place to be.
I love these words; thank you:)
